Creating system restore point on Windows 7

What is Restore Point?
A representation of a stored state of your computer. Restore point is created by System Restore at specific intervals and when System Restore detects the beginning of a change to your computer. Also, restore point can be created by you manually at any time.

When System Restore was introduced in back in Windows Me it has helped save some major computer  problems to normal situation on several occasions.System Restore is a component of Microsoft's Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems that allows for the rolling back of system files, registry keys, installed programs, etc., to a previous state in the event of malfunctioning or failure. and today we will take a look at how to create a new restore point.

Steps to create System restore point on Windows 7
1. Right click on Computer, select properties.
2. Click on the System Protection link on the left pane.
3. The System Properties dialog screen opens up, click on Create.
4. Type in a description for the restore point and click on Create.
All done!  Now if something goes wrong you have the satisfaction knowing that you can go back in time to the point before the changes were made.
